Other Gift Options
If you would like to discuss legacy gifts such as: stock donations, planned giving or other options, please contact John Wanke at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the LCEF office at 517-265-1626. LCEF staff would be more than happy to discuss your interests and design a giving program that meets your needs.
Designate your contribution to help students or faculty, build great facilities, fund curriculum or equipment needs or expand Lenawee County instructional performance. Make a program or fund specific gift through the selection of one of the following LCEF sponsored programs.
Student Scholarships – Student scholarships represent the LCEF’s single largest area of student support. Student scholarships provide Lenawee County students and families with financial support that assists them in pursuing higher education. Scholarship eligibility varies and is generally established by the donor.
Teacher Mini-Grants – As school budgets tighten, Lenawee County school districts have found it more and more difficult to provide essential services, let alone providing funding for innovative instructional resources for teachers, their classrooms and students. In partnership with First Federal Bank, TLC Credit Union, and Old National Bank, the LCEF has created the teacher mini-grant program to provide funding (up to $750) to Lenawee County teachers and student support personnel to assist them in pursuing innovative projects or programs that would not otherwise be feasible.
Lenawee Intermediate School District – The Lenawee Intermediate School District (LISD) is Lenawee County’s regional education service provider. The LISD provides direct student instruction in the areas of: special education, early childhood education, adult education, alternative education and career and technical education. The LISD provides educational support services in the areas of: professional development, curriculum consultation, data services, technology, career preparation and many other areas that are more efficiently delivered through regional service models.
Donations may be designated to one or more of the following LISD administered programs. Unless otherwise specified (i.e. a specific piece of equipment or resource), the use of donations to specific program areas shall be determined by the LISD administration in conjunction with the appropriate program staff members.
- Adult Education Services
- Environmental Education Programs
- JC/LISD Academy: A Regional Middle College
- Lenawee’s CHILD (early childhood education)
- LISD PREP Academy
- LISD TECH Center programs
- School Support Services (Professional Development)
- Special Education Services
- Student Global Exchange Programs (Middle School Exchange - Moriyama, Japan)
