The following programs are housed in local districts but are available to any student in Lenawee County. Contact the appropriate local district for more information.
Agriscience (Blissfield)
Courses include Ag Biology, Animals and the Environment, Ag Business and Finance, Ag Communications and Leadership, Work-Based Learning, and Independent Study courses focused on your career goals! Students will gain entry-level agricultural and natural resource knowledge by expanding on content taught in the classrooms through hands-on labs, a 43-acre land lab, a greenhouse, field trips, and guest speakers. Students who are enrolled in ag courses are automatically members of FFA, allowing them to gain leadership training and professional development.
Agriscience (Sand Creek)
Courses include Environmental Science, Zoology, Botany, and Leadership. Students will learn about a broad variety of agriculture and natural resources topics and careers. Program facilities include a land lab, barn, and greenhouse. FFA leadership training is included.
Biomedical Sciences (Madison)
Courses include Principles of Biomedical Science, Human Body Systems, and Medical Interventions. Working with the same tools used by professionals in hospitals and labs, students engage in compelling hands-on activities, and work together to find solutions to various medical problems.
Computer Programming (Tecumseh)
This program is designed to accommodate different skill levels from introductory to the college level where students will learn how to plan, write, implement, debug, and maintain computer programs. Students will have the opportunity to learn mobile, game, web, and/or robotics programming in addition to computer application development, and will use a blended learning environment that combines online curriculum with hands-on labs and projects. Students will have the opportunity to learn Python, JavaScript, Java, and C++. Students will be able to work with Unity, Unreal Engine, and Pygame to design games.
This program is designed to help students learn to program as soon as their freshman year and offer classes through their senior year. This could also offer freshman and sophomores a lot of experience programming and they could continue to build their skills at the TECH Center their Junior and Senior years. Students also have the opportunity to take two AP Classes; AP computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A.
Mechatronics (SMCSI Hudson)
Mechatronics focuses on the engineering of both mechanical and electrical systems. This skills trade curriculum includes responsibility, soft skills, and proactive learning. Students will work their way to completing industry-recognized certifications, providing many career options after graduation.
