Gretchen L. Hofing, MPH, RD – LGSC

Gretchen Hofing is a registered dietitian and Food, Nutrition and Health Educator with Michigan State University Extension (MSUE). She oversees the Lenawee County Family Nutrition Program and Mother to Mother Breastfeeding Peer program, as well as conducts statewide soyfoods health education and coordinates an MSUE school nutrition initiative. As a graduate of Purdue University in food science/foods and nutrition in business, Kendall College’s culinary arts certificate program and the University of North Carolina’s Master’s in Public Health program, Gretchen has had a lifelong interest in foods and wellness working both on the business end of product development as well as the non-profit end with nutrition education. In her free time she enjoys community service, trying new foods, walking and biking, traveling and taking on the challenge of using all of the produce in her spring/summer cooperative sharing farm box. Most recently she has taken on the role of Jackson Community College adjunct faculty teaching “Nutrition for Foodservice” for the culinary arts associates degree program.
