My Kindergartner’s First Field Trip, Midwestern style

I don’t know how it works around the world but in the Midwest we have our own style. Field trip fun days are no exception. On October 15th of this year my son enjoyed his first ever field trip at our local Carpenter Farms. Usually open the 2nd weekend of September until October 31, Carpenter Farms has been a favorite destination for many local residents. When we first arrived we shared a tractor-pulled Hayride over to the pumpkin patch where each child was able to choose a pumpkin to take home. Then we enjoyed cider and doughnuts. The best parts were the mountains of hay with a rope swing kids could climb and play on, a corn-kernel-filled pit and goats to pet.

It was so nice to see the kids all having such a good time.

  1. My daughter’s school took a field trip there too and the kids all had a great time! We will definitely go back again! 🙂
