Think Like a Preschooler

Boston’s Early Childhood blog had a great post recently. It has to do with how children and adults answer four simple questions. The majority of adults get the answers wrong. Curious? Here are the questions:

1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?

2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?

3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend …. except one. Which animal does not attend?

4. There is a river you must cross but it is used by crocodiles and you do not have a boat. How do you manage it?

Go ahead, formulate your answers.

Before I reveal the children’s answers, let me tell you the point of all this, which is how adults think differently from children, and how sometimes adults make things much more complicated than they need to be. We can learn a lot from children and the way they see the world.

Now go read the answers and enjoy your day!
